Moving and Jobs

Andrew and I decided a long time ago that we wanted to move to Kansas City when we got done with college. Well our dream is finally coming true. We will be embarking on a new journey soon. We will have real jobs and a family and hopefully a house.

It is extremely difficult to leave everything that is so familiar, but I do look forward to it. Andy and I have the challenge of finding a new church, saving up money for our house, and finding child care for our baby. So if anyone would like to pray for us about those things that would be amazing...

However we have been blessed with amazing jobs. I have been worried for quite some time that we might be moving without jobs, but God is always providing. Just when I thought we both were going to be without jobs we both got jobs. God is so good. I always seem to forget that He does things in His time and not my own.

Well next weekend I will be back living at home with my parents and getting ready to start a new phase of life. May God always come first in our family.

Wii!!!

Graduating from anywhere is always an amazing time!!!! For graduation Andrew and I got a Wii from his parents. It is such a fun gift. We spend hours entertaining ourselves with it.

Yesterday we were at Andy's parents house. Andrew and Erin where playing boxing on the Wii. It was very funny. Erin was so amused with herself I'm not sure how she stood up straight.

So if anyone wants to play we would love to have ya!!!!

Motorcycles...

On the occasion Andy tries to convince me that he needs another motorcycle. Well let me tell you that that is not gonna happen. Yesterday when we turned the corner and were driving down the road we scared this poor motorcycle man and he ran off into the ditch. Well he was able to get out of the ditch, but then he did some MAJOR swerving action and laid the poor bike down. We got to call 911 and he had a broken leg and his face was bleeding and it was very scary. There will be no more motorcycles as long as I'm alive. After that then I guess Andy will just be one step closer to joining me in heaven if he decides to get one.

Oh yes and if anyone would like to pray for the man that wrecked his bike. I felt really bad for him. I'm pretty sure he was just a single older guy. I just hope he is feeling alright and that everything goes well for him.

Well I hope y'all have a good day.

RIP David (That was our first and ONLY motorcycles name.)

The Poor Poor Bellybutton

Well recently I was inspecting my bellybutton to find that it is not in its normal position. I am only 13 weeks pregnant and it is starting to pop out. How weird is that. I am going to be one of those people were the bellybutton sticks out ALL the way. It is quite humorous though. It sticks even farther out when I am really full. Yesterday we had dinner at Cheddar's and it was sticking really far out after that. My co-worker and I think it is very funny. She is 36 weeks pregnant and her belly button does not stick out in the slightest.

Did anyone elses bellybutton stick out?

Dizziness...

Today I had an unfortunate experience that made me look a bit foolish. Recently when I stand up for an extended period of time in the same spot it makes me very dizzy. Dizzy enough where I have to sit down or I fear I will pass out. Well today I had a presentation and it was an exciting group presentation of over thirty minutes. Well it did not occur to me that I would not be able to stand up there, because this is definitely a recent problem.

Well I got up there and immediatley I thought I was going to pass out. Lucky for me Andy is in my group so he understood that I needed to sit down. Also my teacher knows that I am pregnent so she understood. However, I'm sure the forty people in my class did not understand. I'm sure they thought i was some kind of panzy that could not make a silly presentation. Woo is me. I looked like a retard. Atleast I did not pass out.

13 Thursday...

What shall the topic be...

13 reasons I love my dog....

1. He's so cute, I can never get enough.

2. He lets me dress him even if he does not appreciate it.

3. He lets me give him hugs and kisses when ever I want.

4. He snuggles under the covers every night and adds body heat.

5. He frolics when we go outside on walks.

6. Andy and I have a voice for him that cracks me up everyday.

7. He always appreciates me and does not get mad at me.

8. He loves his sister the cat.

9. He loves to go on rides and he'll even wear a seat belt for me.

10. I like to share a little of whatever I am eating with him.

11. He turns pink on his nose and belly whenever he gets really excited.

12. He always listens when no one else will...(and he has nothing to say) it's great!

13. He will always be our first boy!!!

Thump, Thump, Thump.....

So today Andy and I went and visted the doctor for the baby's third checkup thing. We got to hear the heart beat!!! It was very exciting. She thought that everything looked very well. The unfortunate news is I have to switch doctors when we move. I wish she could just come to, but she does not even deliver babies, she just takes care of you untill then. I'm glad that everything is going well. We are at 13 weeks.

A House

One of the things Andy and I look foward to most is buying a house. We have endured the joys of apartment living for the last year and we are ready for something different. Andy would really like to ahve a place to put his surround sound and be able to turn it up to a resonable level with no complaints. Our dog would like to be able to run around the house as fast as he can and the people underneath us not complain. We would also like to be able to open our back door so that Hercules can just go to the bathroom so we don't ave to walk him.

Well we looked at quit a few houses this weekend and we only found one winner. Most likely I will not be able to have it, beause the basement has issues and i would hate for my house to just fall into the Earth, but can't someone just fix it. It was amazing.... the house of my dreams. The street was a bit questionable, but it will be alright we will have an alarm and we have a really mean dog. LoL. Also there was plenty of nice people around so I'm not too worrried. Well just incase my dream comes true allow me to show you some pics.....

Everyone just ignore the face that the garage is slighly slanted and that it needs a new roof and you can't see its basement issues, but they do exist....

Lord please let the homeowners take lots of money off so that we can buy it and restore it to its full beauty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Baby...

We have been keeping a secret for about two months now. We are going to have a baby!!!! Fortunate for me I have not been hardly sick at all. Everything makes me gag, but no throwing up. After reading other blogs I feared the porcelain thrown. I am so glad that I have not had to make it my own.

It is strange to tell people after keeping it a secret for so long.... A couple things about it.

1. We refer to the baby as peanut until we find out the gender

2. We don't care if it's a boy or a girl

3. It was not really planned, but we welcome peanut with open arms

4. We are planning out names for the grandparents.... and Erin and I have for sure decided on Auntie Erin

5. Grandma Wanda is glad that I am not "throwing my socks up" like she did

6. We are very worried about Hercules when he sees the baby and realizes that they do not look the same (we have not told him he is adopted)

7. I have not gained any weight. I weigh two pounds less and my doctor gave me a not so nice look last time I was there

8. We have been to the doctor twice and had two not so pleasant ultrasounds

9. We look forward to decorating the nursery, but that takes money and we are graduating in December and interviewing for jobs... so please pray for us

10. We got a seat belt for Hercules so that he would still be able to ride in the car

Well have a good day....

Plagiarism Part II

Plagiarism has been the disappointment of my week. However, things are looking on the brighter side now.

The girl insists that she just misunderstood the assignment. So he gladly sent me a new paper {with her sources I mind you} and we are all handy dandy.

After I sent the guy the stern email he wrote be back and said okay. Then in class that evening he told me I was right and that it was a good thing that I did not take the subject lightly. He also obliged me with a correct paper with sources.

Well now my paper is well on its way to completion. I am only missing one persons paper and I guess I will just have to start sending hate mail until I receive it.

Well maybe that isn't the best tactic. But I guess whatever works for ya.

Plagiarism

I have developed a new pet peeve in my life. Plagiarism. I was assigned to write a paper with four of my other classmates. I have no problem with this, but I wanted the knowledge that it was done so I had them all send me their paper. Upon receiving their paper one of the people had sent me a completely plagiarized paper. OH MY!!!!!! No references no nothing. So I wrote her an email and in a stern but kind way told her I would not be accepting her paper and she needed a new one.

Well I never got a response.

I emailed another group member to inform him that we might be needing to write more because we might have lost a member due to plagiarism. He informed me that I did not need to worry about plagiarist. The teacher would probably not notice. He informed me that he had also copy and pasted a majority of his paper but he did not figure anyone would notice!!!!!

WHO SAYS THESE THINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO.... In my naive mind this just happens on the movies not in MY class in MY group!!!!!

Lord please give me the wisdom to deal with this situation in a way that honors you.

Frozen Custard

I must admit that ice cream in pretty much any form is a weakness of mine. It tastes amazing for those few seconds and then it goes down and sticks right to my hips. I sure do like it though. Perhaps if I could just stay away from the ice cream I could lose that weight I dream of getting rid of. Losing weight is a terrible battle. It seems like so long ago I was thin when it was really less than two years ago... I must get in control. I want to be a gorgeous wife. I know that beauty is on the inside as well, but I'm not gonna lie. I'm not always the nicest person so being beautiful on the outside does not hurt my case....

Look up at the rain what a beautiful display of power and surrend....

God has taught me a whole lot in the last month or so. God has taught me that He gives and takes away. And that He is the ultimate provider. I never thought I would find myself in the spot that I am. I'm not sure I have ever been so humbled in my life. I want to live life for God and not lose sight of that. So often I get so concentrated on material things. I forget that in the end absolutely none of that matters.
I think about my situation and feel bitter sometimes, but I just must remember that it all happens for a reason. I was at a point in my life where I hated where I was at. I always said I would walk away the day I hated it, well God helped me keep my promise. What a sense of humor.
I just want to walk away with no hurt feelings. Knowing that I learned and in the end God has something so much bigger for me. And I hope that with the time I did have, people learned something from me. I am not always the best example, but I want to live to serve others. The day you serve yourself you should stop and look around, because there is so much more.
Now I move onto a new adventure..... God please be my guide and nothing else......

Dance Dance Revolution

Last night, Erin was kind enough to host a DDR party. I would just like to say that it was great fun. I also would definitley like to give a shotout to Belinda for the amazing brownies and rice crispy treats....(your the best mother-in-law ever!!!!). So we start our party and immediatly I feel akward. Is it sad that I did not want to share my ddr skill, or maybe it was lack of skills, with all these people I was not 100% comfortable with. And don't get me wrong I am not a shy person. So the party goes on a little while and Todd comes up to show us his skill. He is the DDR master. If you ever need to know how it is done just give Todd a call you will immediatly realize that your skills are nothing and that you should not have a DDR party untill you can complete Zepher and the challenge level. All and all it was a great party... and perhaps once we get a little better we shall have another!!!!

My Good Friend...

As I have grown up I am constantly looking around to see what type of person I want to be. I am not sure that a person is every a grown up. I want to always be growing and learning to be the person that God would have me to be.
As I look around for other women in my life to be models there is one that sticks out in my mind. Minda. We met about three years ago and for about a year and a half or so she has taught me so much. I have watched her struggle and over come so many things. She never has a bad attitude. If I need to tell someone something and I don't want to be judged I call her. She always is open and would never look down on anyone.
Minda, you are an amazing women. I am so excited about what God is doing in your life with Gene and all of your great boys. You deserve so much.... Thank you for being so open with me and allowing me to learn from your life. I love all the great conversations that we have had and I look forward to all of the ones that are to come.

Please Don't Laugh, but...

My sister-in-law has challenged me to write something that I am afraid of or something silly about myself so here ya go.

I am absolutely terrified to ride on a plane. This fear haunts me... I would say weekly. I wake up in the middle of the night thinking that the plane I am on is crashing. I bit silly perhaps, maybe I should learn how to fly one so that I won't be so scared....

Sushi...

I would just like to thank all of the Asian Americans who brought sushi to the United States.
Every time that I have the privilege to enjoy this delicacy I am simply blessed. My favorite is the California roll. Andrew however enjoys the eel. Does anyone have any other suggestion on what type I could have next time I go?

To yell or shake the can....

As y'all know I have a misbehaved Boston Terrier. He has issues such as; pulling the cat off of her cat house, having snacks out of the litter box, climbing on to the end table, and there are just to many things to name them all.

In the past I have dealt with these issues by raising my voice and perhaps yelling at him. These never do the trick. Seeing that we have had him for a year now and he is still up to his same ole tricks.

Last weekend my friend brought to my attention the pop can with pennies. It works wonders!!!! If I just shake the can at him he runs like a scared kitty. I love it.... my life is becoming simpler...

So I would like to pose the question. How do y'all get your animal to behave?

Grey's Anatomy....

Grey's Anatomy and I have become best friends over the last couple of seasons. I am not ashamed to admit that I have never missed a single episode and that I would probably cry if I did. Grey's Anatomy is my one time of the week that I just get totally lost in another world. I don't have to worry about anything going on around me. I just worry about things like; if George is going to cheat on Callie with Izzy, if Adele is ever going to get back with the poor chief who died his hair black, and really important things like is Bourke going to end up leaving the show, because he called George a fag in real life. Was that really necessary?
I am a supervisor at a bank so I sincerely look up to Dr. Bailey in the way that I want to be a managerial figure. I want my employees to have tremendous respect for me while still knowing that I love them and will be there for them....

However, my bff of television has come to an end this season. I am feeling depressed, but also relieved. If the maker of the show killed one more person I thought that I would have a mental break down. It's really sad when I go to bed on Thursday nights and feel as if I need to pray for the people of Grey's Anatomy. Well Meredith, Izzy, Alex, George, Christina, and the rest of y'all. I will see you next season. Tootles for now....

Happy Mother's Day!!!

I just want to say congratulations to all the great mom's in the world. My mom blesses my life everyday with her never ending love. Throughout my life my mom has taught me what it means to be patient and kind mother. She's taught me an appreciation and love for animals that I enjoy everyday of my life. My mom is a great wife, a hard worker, and has been a wonderful caretaker. Thanks mom for putting up with all my quarks and weirdness. I would not be the person I am without you!!!

Pork n Beans Cake

It is absolutely delightful. I really must say that I do enjoy it. My manager brought it in for food day.
I never cook, but I have desided to go out on a limb and bake a this bean cake. I even bought a new pan to cook it in and everything!!! I am taking it to my mother in laws house for lunch on Sunday. I wish to bestow the goodness upon another fortunate soul. Perhaps I will put up a picture of it.

An Eventful Saturday...

There are a couple of things that happened today.

1)To be Retarded....
Just so everyone knows I am the teller manager at a bank located in what some might call the ghetto. Now the ghetto does not technically exist in the town I live in so perhaps it is just the poorer area.
At about 6 pm yesterday evening a man pulled up to my commercial window and he wished to cash his check. He did not have an account with us so I informed him that we would be happy to cash he check he would just have to wait until in the morning when the lobby opened. Well this morning at about 8:15 this man comes back to the drive-up informing us once again that he would like to cash his check. Except this time the poor soul had his wife speaking for him. I once again informed him we would be open at nine and we could do it then. His wife, approximately 45 years of age, look at me and said, " You are retarded, that is so dumb that you will not cash the check right now, you are a band." First of all, when people go to insult me it makes me more reluctant to help them. But it did not stop at that, she just kept going on and on and well you get the point. So finally I turned off the speaker and needless to say she did not come back into the bank to cash the check.

2)The poor poor used car sales man...
Yesterday at the mall there was a big car sale. My husband and I decided that we would go check it out. Unfortunately our budget does not allow for a car purchase, but it never hurts to look. Well, we found a Jeep Commander and we wanted to look inside it. So all I asked was for the guy to unlock it. Well he ended up letting us drive it around and then trying to find a good price for us. We had no intention of buying, but it was a good bargaining experience. But I just feel bad for the poor guy who thought he was getting a sale.

3)A Step Show...
An African American sorority and fraternity step show. It was very interesting. There was no music they just did sequenced claps and stopped there feet and said how they were the best fraternity. Personally it was my absolute favorite when they would call out one of the groups names and they would shriek out a sound that was affiliated with them. It was much enjoyment.

Then people came over and Hercules and Cash got it a little brawl... Hercules was quickly pulled away for fear that he might eat the little Cash. And then we watched Happy Feet and went to bed.

The Beginning of My Blog...

I have been inspired to blog and just write about the silly things that go on in my day to day life. Perhaps someone else can laugh at the wonderful experiences I go through as a; full time college student, a full time employee, and a full time wife and mother to my animals. How do you I have time to blog? That's a good question. In between everything else I suppose....
